First, an overview of the WoW (US) network infrastructure. All US servers are hosted in 3 data centers, located in Chicago, Los Angeles and Sydney. OCE realms are hosted in Sydney and all Latin American / Brazilian realms in Chicago. That explains why most people not on the west coast lag badly when grouped with players from OCE..
